Plain-language policies

Payment: A 50% deposit reserves production. The remaining balance is due before final files are delivered.
Cancellation and refunds: You may cancel for a full refund before production begins. Once production begins, the deposit and payments for work already completed are non-refundable.
Revisions: One reasonable revision round is included. Send all requested corrections or small lyric adjustments together. A new plot, recipient, genre direction or other major rewrite is a new commission and may require an additional fee.
Your final files: After the remaining balance is paid, Athena emails you a link to your final MP3 and lyric sheet. Open the link on your phone to listen and download your files. Reply to the delivery email if you need help accessing them.
Delivery time: Standard delivery is 7–14 business days after the deposit is paid and all required story details are received. Missing information, delayed customer replies or approved additional work may move the delivery date. Rush delivery is not guaranteed unless agreed in writing.
AI disclosure: The package uses AI-assisted vocals and/or production. It does not clone your voice or impersonate a named artist.
Privacy and sharing: Your submitted details are used to review and create your song, using the website’s storage and AI-assisted production tools. Relevant story details and lyrics may be submitted to Suno for AI-assisted production, under its own terms and privacy notice. Share only what you are comfortable including. Read the full privacy notice. Your story and finished song are not published or used in promotion without your separate approval. Choosing “you may ask” does not authorize publication. You can request deletion by replying to Athena’s email; records needed for an active order or payment history may need to be retained.
Customer songs as work examples: With your separate written permission, Athena may showcase an approved song or excerpt as an example of work created for a customer. You choose the approved locations, public credit, and details to leave out. Declining does not affect your order. Showcase permission does not allow Athena to sell, license, intentionally monetize, or use your song in paid advertising. Any revenue-producing use requires a separate signed agreement before release, including your agreed percentage of song-attributable receipts, the calculation method, and payment terms. No percentage is assumed. Read the showcase permission agreement and optional revenue-share addendum (PDF).
Personal or commercial use: The $199 package includes listening, gifts, private celebrations, and noncommercial personal sharing. For business promotion, advertising, monetized videos, or music releases for revenue, choose “Commercial use” on the request form and describe your plans. Athena confirms eligibility, price, and permitted uses in a separate written license before payment. Requesting commercial use does not grant permission. A usage license does not automatically transfer copyright ownership or grant exclusivity. Choose “Not sure” if you need help deciding. You confirm submitted details are yours to share.

What’s your story?

A birthday gift, the friendship that carried you through, a tribute, an inside joke, or a chapter you’re ready to claim. Your song can be tender, funny, fierce, or a little of everything.

Before you ask.

The details that help you decide whether a custom story song is right for you.

Do I need to write lyrics?

No. Tell Athena your story in your own words. Memories, phrases, feelings, and little details are enough. Athena shapes them into original lyrics and a song concept.

Can I choose the singer?

You can request male or female vocals. You cannot select a specific singer, celebrity, or exact voice. Vocals and music are AI-assisted; the same voice across different versions is not guaranteed.

Can I choose the genre and pace?

Yes. Tell Athena the genre, whether you want it fast-paced, moderate, or slow, and the feeling you want. These guide the creative direction; exact production details are discussed before work begins.

Can it be a surprise gift?

Yes. Use your own email and tell Athena it is a surprise. Provide the occasion and preferred deadline. Availability is confirmed before your request is accepted.

Can names be included—or kept out?

Yes. Choose your preference on the form. If you want names included, add how they are pronounced. Athena can discuss wording and pronunciation with you.

Can my song stay private?

Yes. Privacy is the default. Your story or finished song will not be showcased without separate permission. You can allow Athena to ask about sharing while still deciding later.

What do I receive?

The $199 founding-client package includes original lyrics, AI-assisted vocal and music production, one revision round, a final MP3, and a lyric sheet for personal use.

When do I pay, and how long does it take?

The $99.50 deposit is invoiced after Athena accepts the request. Target delivery is 7–14 business days after the deposit and complete intake. The remaining $99.50 is due before final files are delivered. A preferred date is not guaranteed until agreed.

Can I listen and save it on my phone?

Yes. Your delivery email includes a link to the final MP3 and lyric sheet. Open it to listen, then use Download or Save to keep your files. If you have trouble accessing them, reply to Athena’s email.

What if I need a change?

One reasonable revision round is included. Send corrections and small lyric adjustments together. A new story, recipient, or genre direction may require a separately agreed fee.

Will you use my song as a sample?

Only with your separate written approval. You can choose an approved excerpt or full song, where it appears, and whether your name is shown. This is an example of customer work, not permission to earn money from your song. Any revenue-producing use needs a separate signed agreement setting your percentage and payment terms before release. You may decline showcasing without affecting your order.

Can I use it for my business or sell it?

The $199 package includes personal use. Choose Commercial use on the request form for business promotion, advertisements, monetized videos, or releases for revenue. Describe your plans so Athena can provide a separate quote and written license before payment. Choose Not sure if you need guidance. A commercial request does not automatically grant permission, copyright ownership, or exclusivity.
